Lloyd’s Registry Approval
Monday March 29, 2004 Silent Running SR 1000 gets Lloyd’s Registry approval
World’s first U.S. Coast Guard approved sound dampening product for the marine industry has received its Lloyd’s Registry Approval.
East Haven, CT, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ - Current Composites announced today that their Silent Running SR 1000 Marine Coating, a liquid sound dampening product, received Lloyd’s Registry Certificate of Fire Approval.
Certificate number – SAS F060023
"This adds yet another element of versatility to our product and opens the door to larger commercial markets that require a respected internationally known approval rating system such as Lloyd’s”, said Current Composites Chairman and CEO Brian Prinz. “This approval, along with the ease of use of Silent Running, gives a compelling choice for architects, commercial vessels and manufacturers to eliminate unwanted sound and vibration problems”.
Silent Running is a liquid coating that utilizes a space-age viscoelastic polymer system that virtually eliminates unwanted vibration and sound problems. The coating absorbs vibration, the root cause of unwanted noise, and converts it into low-grade heat which is then dissipated throughout the applied surface.
Silent Running SR1000 also has its US Coast Guard and European Type Approval.
Silent Running is a nontoxic, water-based, vibration absorbing material that goes on easily with a brush, roller, or spray gun. It takes up less space and weighs less than existing sound proofing technologies such as mats and wraps. Just paint it on and feel the difference.
